Business Development Manager

 

CEVA Logistics has an opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join the sales team based in VIC. Your primary focus will be to win new business through leads generated on your own specifically for the Contract Logistics business. You will develop strong internal and external relationships to win and secure new business leads that you will generate. You will play a key role in the preparation of tenders, customer presentations and liaison with the quote team to secure new business for CEVA. With strong negotiation skills and a willingness to exceed budgets you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and show the ability to self-motivate daily.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Apply your knowledge of selling in a Supply Chain environment, specifically targeting customers who require support with their supply chain requirements.
  • Ensure prospect and opportunity pipelines have sufficient revenue to drive an outcome that shows relevant financial growth.
  • Prospecting and qualifying leads from internal & external sources, through your own networks and others.
  • Show enthusiasm when responding to leads as per business service level agreement.
  • Complete sales administration tasks using the company CRM to manage calendar, customer accounts, contacts and opportunities as specified and within required timelines.
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients who specifically require warehousing support.
  • Develop pricing, service, and product strategies to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
  • Co-ordinate and effectively communicate with sales, operations, customers and overseas offices for quotations and business issues.
  • Prepare and analyze sales strategies for customers where required to win business. Contributed to weekly sales activity targets by attending team meetings as required.
  • Continually improve knowledge of Company products and services and process improvement where required.
  • Work with other sales and operational staff in all lines of business to promote and gain new revenues for CEVA.


 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Previous experience in a sales role preferably in a previous supply chain environment.
  • Exposure across engineering and solution design preferrable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field (Logistics or Business) preferred.
  • Knowledge of logistics principals and processes.
  • Detailed understanding of sales timelines and generation of new business.
  • High level verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of experience in the delivery of presentation and solutions.
  • Highly developed attention to detail and integrity.
  • Strong Microsoft suite software skills (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Capable of dealing with pressured scenarios in a calm and systematic manner.
  • A strong customer service and customer relationship management orientation.
