SALES PRICING CO-ORDINATOR/ ESTIMATOR

YOUR ROLE

The Sales Pricing Co-Ordinator (Estimator) (Air/Ocean Product Professional) is responsible to complete and produce estimates

as requested by customers and the Business Development team. The sourcing of airfreight, ocean freight, road transportation rates and general freight rates are vital to the converting estimates into new business.

The rates need to be updated and maintained on the CEVA database. Quotations must be prepared and diligently followed up and specific turn-around times for delivery of estimates are required at all times.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• To complete and produce estimates as requested by Customers, Business Development team and other CEVA staff on a National Level (All Branches: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban & Port Elizabeth)
• Preparing quotations within 24 hours from the initial request.
• Prioritizing of “special requests” as required by Customers and the Business Development team.
• Sourcing of airfreight, ocean freight and road freight rates, contact details and validity dates on a daily basis, keeping CEVA Air, Ocean and Road product list up to date for the Business Development team.
• Update and maintain the CEVA Estimates register, worksheets and data base.
• Maintain and update estimate templates for all mode of transport (Airfreight, Ocean Freight, and Road Transportation)
• Cross checking of estimates.
• Liaise with Air/Ocean Tender/Rates Expert, National Product Manager, Business Development, Operations, Customs Brokerage and or various customers and Transporters.
• Liaise with CEVA origin and destination offices for rates based on terms of sale.
• Continuous follow-up on estimates and the success of securing the business.
• Accessing customer rate profiles for agreed rate structure.
• Decide on the best routing option and mode of transport.
• Ensuring rates are correct as per carrier and shipping lines.
• Assist in the monitoring of competitor activity and report accordingly.
• Attend weekly Business Development meetings.
• Perform any additional duties as and when required.
• To assist in the general operation of the office and ensure that all Internal Control, LEAN and OHS procedures are strictly adhered to at all times

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Minimum of a matric or equivalent. 
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in Sales pricing (Estimating) and other Operations
• Controller experience in the Supply Chain Management/Freight Forwarding industry.
• Previous experience as an Estimator in ALL modes of transport, as well as project quoting experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Good knowledge of the market.
• Proficient on Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
• Knowledge of Matrix will be advantageous.
• Incoterms Understanding.
• Able to keep reports and statistics.
• Understanding pricing from various countries for all modes of transport to ensure quotations that will secure business.
