YOUR ROLE


This position will focus on general ledger maintenance and control, reviewing and analyzing month-end accruals as well as profit and loss results for operating contracts.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Financial Reporting:

  • Review and analyze month-end accruals and profit and loss (P&L) results for a set of operating contracts
  • Manage balance sheet account reconciliation process and work product outsourced to Infosys
  • Design files and load local budget and forecasts details into JDE ledgers
  • Manage month-end allocations for project managers, regions and all indirect business units
  • Responsible for monthly management fee calculations
  • Responsible for Financial Close Summary and Net Working Capital schedules
  • Manage additional projects as assigned by the Controller 

Financial Systems (JDEdwards and HFM) Control:

  • Manage Infosys outsource team for the entire journal entry process
  • Identify and manage addition of new accounts and business units and other changes as needed in the JDE chart of accounts and business unit master
  • Manage and control JDE and HFM interface for a large number of varied circumstances that take place during the course of the month
  • Responsible for educating the financial reporting team and subledger groups on the JDE structure and set-up

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Minimum 3 years accounting/finance experience
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred

 Experience

  • PC literate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
  • Possess process improvement initiative skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Prior audit experience or experience with outside auditor requests 

 Specialist Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Must be PC literate
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications including Financial Vision (Oracle).
  • Experienced in financial management (P&L’s, Balance Sheets, forecasting and budgets) to effectuate return on investment.
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving through use of data and information metrics and improvement to performance process.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals.
  • Manages complex or emotional customer situations promptly and professionally meeting commitments for service and assistance.

      Interpersonal & Communication Skills

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other functional groups including upper management.
