Admin Officer

YOUR ROLE

Our Customs team based in Felixstowe have seen enormous growth and increased activity and are looking to expand their compliance team by recruiting an Administration Officer who will focus on executing all office administration tasks alongside ensuring site and HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality) compliance is upheld.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the National Customs Compliance Manager you will coordinate processes relating to new starters, onboarding, payroll, holidays, assessments and training, ensuring information is recorded and accurately maintained. You will capture data relating to HSEQ, support with the completion of checklists and site led project rollout that support environmental initiatives, and ensure all minimum requirements outlined by CEVA are met.

This role is really varied and gives someone the opportunity to also act as our site communication champion where you will encourage team spirit and engagement, communicate information via site newsletters and ensure all business updates and news is distributed where appropriate. 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

This role requires a proactive and confident individual who has a high sense of urgency, can actively build and manage key relationships across the site and wider business, is able to work independently of their own initiative and proactively deliver against key objectives. You’ll need to be able to work at pace and hit the ground running when it comes to learning new systems and processes, be open and able to adapt to challenges and new environments whilst maintaining a positive outlook.

As the role will have a focus on health, safety, environmental and quality, it would be beneficial to have someone who has previous experience in this area or an individual who has the passion to champion and deliver again key objectives.
