YOUR ROLE


Are you known for your negotiation and leadership skills? Are you passionate about identifying the most advantageous pricing strategies? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to negotiate with carriers to secure most competitive rate and service as part of overall global core carrier and/or project cargo strategy.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
 

  • Analyze and gather pricing required to respond timely and effectively to customer Requests for Quote (RFQ).

 

  • Manage the pricing workload to ensure proper resource allocation to meet customer deadlines and increase win rate.

 

  • Coordinate multi-modal pricing process required to respond timely and effectively to complex, high revenue potential bids.

 

  • Develop innovative pricing tools, processes, and systems to enhance the bidding process and increase our hit rate based on pricing logic.

 

  • Engage with product experts to ensure the logic used in pricing processes and applications is resulting in appropriately calculated cost and profit. 

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of work and completion of the LDP program.
  • Minimum five to seven years’ experience in a progressively responsible project manager or similar roles in pricing, transportation logistics or supply chain management.
  • Minimum five years industry experience

 

Skills:  

  • Ability to develop short and long-range project planning, and effectively communicate information to diverse work groups.
  • Working knowledge of IT technical disciplines related to systems architecture, operating systems, programming environments and databases.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Ability to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments
