YOUR ROLE

 

Responsible for managing the development and implementation of global/ regional/ country solution design programs, policies and procedures from a functional or technical perspective.  

Typically has formal management duties on a daily basis supporting Global Customs Leader on Business Development strategy and lead take to market solution design.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Managing or overseeing the development and implementation of global/ regional/ country Customs solution design and related functional programs to achieve desired future state and operational results, aligns leadership and resources required, and ensures effective implementation and administration.  
  • Providing input and advice regarding developing and aligning strategies and programs to manage through innovative and cost-effective designs, solutions to customer needs and requirements and the coordination of internal resources.
  • Managing formal solution operational review with global/region/ country business development, operations, and stakeholders to gain alignment and an effective solution that meets customer needs and business requirements.
  • Resolving escalated, technical or sensitive operational problems or conflicts; works with internal groups or external agencies as needed and oversees the successful resolution.   
  • Working to facilitate meetings and develops communications to provide feedback to teams on customer requirements, business priorities and experiences for integration into operations; typically more complex or sensitive in nature.
  • Developing and managing global/ regional/ country solution design or cross-functional projects or program objectives, which includes proposed budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements, receives direction and presents information to management; may develop and manage areas that are moderate in scope or impact.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • College, professional or university degree in supply chain, engineering or related functional area or equivalent education and experience is often accepted.
  • Applying comprehensive logistics/supply chain operations management principles and practices being able to evaluate technical solutions, commercial impact and risks.
  • Understanding of the development and implementation of logistics/supply chain design programs, policies and procedures in order to design, innovate and create cost effective solutions.
  • Basic business administration and financial management principles
  • Understanding of strategic initiatives in a similar global environment.
  • Applying more standard project management methodologies with a focus on implementing plans to achieve goals.
  • Strong understanding in the interpretation and applicable of related laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Understanding of organization group process, influencing, problem identification and resolution at both a strategic and functional levels.
  • Understanding of best practices in the function and industry.
  • Customer oriented with excellent analytical, consulting and negotiation skills.
  • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
