YOUR ROLE

 

A trusted IT advisor to our Freight Management (Air and Ocean) and Ground Operations, and to our customers, this role involves the delivery of Freight Management Systems, Transport Management Systems, EDI, leading customer IT discussions, RFQs, project management, stakeholder management, training, testing, consulting, design and support to meet our customer and business expectations.

 

Ideally, the successful candidate would have 8-10 years of solid IT experience in the logistics industry delivering Freight Management solutions, EDI, customs and brokerage solutions, driving productivity improvements, supporting Air and Ocean operations and leading customer engagement (pre-sales). Additionally, a good understanding and experience of Transport Management System (TMS), transport operations and warehousing is necessary. The person should be familiar with IT project management methodologies.

 

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

 

  • Scoping, design, consulting and implementing IT Freight Management solutions in Air and Ocean operations, system testing, user training and Go Live support
  • Implementing Transport Management Systems (TMS) in our Ground Operations, working with users, transport operators, customers and driving productivity.
  • EDI scoping, solution design, testing, training and implementation. Also involves close collaboration with our COE leaders and driving global IT solutions in the region
  • Managing, implementing and supporting Asia Cross Border and other TMS initiatives, on-boarding new customers, supporting users and collaborating with COE to deliver global solutions
  • Project Management, managing multiple complex projects and to prioritize competing interests across functions
  • SME of FM and Ground IT functions,  provide guidance and assistance in prioritizing technology needs; drive and participate in strategic and operational planning for customer(s) supported; analyzes and develops customer strategy plans and assigns co-workers to execute on the plan.
  • Ensuring appropriate support to BD and IT Pre-Sales function in the delivery of world class solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. Proactively identifies future issues/risks develops recommendations for technology investment and/or changes as appropriate and sells resolution to the customer.
  • Provide technical and non-technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements
  • Ensure the appropriate resource planning and resource staffing to fulfill in-bound demand including new customer project, as well as long term customer care for all existing CEVA’s customers. Facilitates cross-functional team steering committee responsible for technology governance activities such as project tracking, budgeting and prioritization, roadmap and Customer case approval and prioritization of competing Customer requirements.
  • Ensuring required service level alignment, providing assistance in problem and root cause analysis, exception management on services including the implementation of changes.
  • Proactively seek to expand relationships with customers and identify strategic Customer needs and aligns major technology initiatives accordingly. Takes initiative to persuade Customer leaders to fund and implement technology enhancements that will deliver value to them. 

 

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • 5-7+ years of relevant technical and customer work experience in a Global Freight Management and Transport operations company
  • 5-7+ years of implementation and delivery of FM and TMS solutions, preferably for large complex projects and customers
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in project management, pre and post sales customer’s support
  • Experience managing large cross-functional teams and direct reports
  • Strategic and enterprise wide management experience including people and process management
  • Consistent utilization of best practices and methodologies to ensure demand management and planning, projects portfolio management and support for customers are met.
  • Ability to understand inter-dependencies between IT and Customer initiatives to effectively leverage resources.
  • SWOT analysis and problem solving competencies.
  • Proven experience implementing IT solutions and communicating with high profile customers. 
  • Expert understanding of Customer functional and operating needs in highly complex environments.
  • Excellent IT finance, customer budget and proposal management.
  • Ability to review and change processes to achieve best practice standards.
  • Superior influence skills to gain commitment from others and foster collaboration.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent situation management and leadership in critical situations.
  • Strong aptitude to build and maintain informal networks inside the customer organization and internally to CEVA.
