YOUR ROLE


CEVA Logistics is currently hiring a Senior Operations Manager (Inventory/Quality Control) located in Mt. Juliet, TN. The Senior Operations Manager is accountable for managing the integrity of the inventory within a 1.4 million Sq. foot facility with an outbound shipment volume of half a million cartons per week; Reporting inventory results to the client and the operation's management team. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements. Provides leadership, guidance, direction and training to the Inventory Control staff. May also serve as Super User for SAP PKMS or other WMS supporting Inventory Control, shipping and receiving controls in some locations. 

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
 

  • Oversee and manage the Inventory Control departments of multiple accounts to ensure the integrity of the inventory, and that all procedures and processes are followed and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with client requirements, system requirements, company policy, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, execute and reconcile physical inventories.
  • Oversee daily cycle counts, audits and reconciliation of activities between systems in accordance with contractual commitments.
  • Ensure timely reporting and communication to the appropriate staff.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are accurately reported in a timely manner, according to customer specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Resolve discrepancies and high-value variances through established investigative processes and in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Organize data and provide results for management review and actions.
  • Resolve production issues related to systems applications within the warehouse environment using technical/trouble shooting skills.
  • Identify and/or solve operational and WMS issues within the work group to provide productive and quality results.
  • Serve as the primary contact between the company and the client's Inventory Control team.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to provide recommendations and solutions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to improve management and integrity of the inventory WMS system.
  • Create; implement and update inventory operational Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Develop process and procedures for vendor compliance when applicable.
  • Support the client with all reporting and queries needed.
  • Balance with customer to all month end buckets and reports.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum five years related experience.
  • Minimum three years industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience required.

 

Skills:  

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in SAP WMS system utilization, user proficiency and training, troubleshooting and resolution with programmers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

 

Characteristics:

  • In-depth experience and knowledge in using computer systems, mainframe and workstation for management of inventory reconciliation, performance measurement and reporting (including WMS -Warehouse Management Systems).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • In-depth experience in inventory control, cycle counting and quality assurance, (Lean, Six Sigma and ISO).
  • Advanced skill in creating Excel Spreadsheets for analysis in the use of macros, pivot tables, v-lookup, formulas for calculating results and reporting variances.
