Global System Process Specialist (SPS) Manager

YOUR ROLE

 

This role is part of the Business Process Excellence team structure, directly reporting to Global BPE Head. Acting as the GHO point of contact for supporting Global/regional initiatives to support compliancy to Operational systems and respective enhancements toward customer satisfaction. Work closely with the Product management teams, Operations and IT

This role provides strong guidance to Regions/Global product lines and Operations regarding the function itself, the global level of compliance to usage of Operations Systems, the global support of business/tool implementation (UAT, training, etc..) partnering with IT, and ensure the global functioning of SPS staff with the right level of resources per region (guidance and escalation).

Moreover, the Global SPS Manager is accountable to animate functionally the SPS staff throughout the CEVA organization and ensure they have the right level of skills and knowledge to perform as expected. Manage the SPS community to ensure the team is working on topics under their scope, and on the key priorities defined by Global BPE together with the Regional Ops Heads.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Responsible to create yearly generic goals for the SPS community, align with BPR (BPE and Regional Ops Heads) to add specific priorities to build a yearly plan for the SPS. Manage team’s performance, based on agreed plan
  • Accountable for having the right number of SPS per region. Defines the target number of SPS per Region, identifies gaps and defines, together with the regions, actions and timelines to close the gaps. Follows-up progress and escalates to management team, in case targets are not met.
  • Interviews SPS candidates, defines strengths and areas of development and aligns with the Regions on the intake (or not) of the candidate. Makes the intake of the new SPS, ensuring the right trainings are assigned, mentor is defined, and the needed setup is in place. Monitors trainings completion and provides needed coaching (e.g. from other SPS, from BPE team,)
  • Does regular calls (min once per month) with all the SPS community to provide updates, present results, assign specific tasks… Engages regularly with the SPS on 121 basis, to review progress, align on priorities, share and provide feedback, …  Reviews progress and addresses performance issues with Regional Ops Heads
  • Compiles SPSs respective KPIs (training delivered, quality of the trainings delivered, coaching delivered, level of compliancy, UAT, WI (on request from BL Global team), Change Request …). SPS Manager is accountable for these KPIs, Regional Ops Heads are Responsible. Conducting a root cause analysis when results are subpar, and report to Global BPE Head/Global Product Head (if relevant)
  • Promotes knowledge sharing amongst SPS, by identifying subject matter experts, best practices, knowledge gaps, Host knowledge sharing sessions, Q&A sessions. Ensure sharing of good practices globally and changes and new developments readiness (Business implementation) by the team
  • Provides input for the yearly performance reviews for each SPS (reviews itself to be done by the Regional Ops Heads)
  • Prepare data and reports for monthly/quarterly SPS reviews. Join weekly/monthly/quarterly BPE meetings

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Forwarding Education
  • Supply Chain training – be it specific theoretical and practical training or ‘on the job' training
  • 5 years of experience in operations – Air or Ocean, including min 2 years of experience as supervisor / manager
  • Very good knowledge of Air and/or Ocean operations
  • Understanding of Operational Systems, e.g. Navigator, OneView, ONEScan, EDI processing, etc… from user perspective
  • Very good performance management skills and experience
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop individuals and teams Very good coaching / mentoring skills
