YOUR ROLE


This position will focus on general ledger maintenance and control, reviewing and analyzing month-end accruals as well as profit and loss results for operating product lines. 

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
 

Financial Reporting:

  • Supervise monthly general ledger closing process including approval and posting of journal entries and review of account reconciliations.
  • Supervise monthly country level financial reporting and pack preparation, and review for accuracy.
  • Liaison with various U.S. corporate departments (Payroll, Purchasing, Risk Management, IT) and field regional controllers on accounting matters.
  • Provide support to external and internal auditors for audits of country’s accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy of country’s financial information and account reconciliations.
  • Perform analytical analysis of account balances.
  • Ensure internal controls are functioning properly in areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and desk procedures are maintained for departments.
  • Ensure the application of technical accounting rules to U.S. transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Financial Systems (JDEdwards and HFM) Control:

  • Manage Infosys outsource team for the entire journal entry process
  • Identify and manage addition of new accounts and business units and other changes as needed in the JDE chart of accounts and business unit master
  • Manage and control operational accounting systems, JDE, and HFM interface for a large number of varied circumstances that take place during the course of the month
  • Responsible for educating the financial reporting team and subledger groups on the JDE structure and set-up

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Accounting or Finance
  • MBA, preferred
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Minimum 3 years accounting/finance experience

 

Skills:  

  • PC literate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
  • Possess process improvement initiative skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Prior audit experience or experience with outside auditor requests
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
  • CPA, preferred
