YOUR ROLE

 

To support the management of Key Operations in making significant Improvements in terms of Safety Cost, Quality and Delivery.

Responsible for training local team to the BPE principals, and coach them during their assignment

Responsible for the roll out of the turnover operation, calculate and validate the AS IS and to Be financial figures.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Serves as an expert and Accountable for several programs that impact significant operations and various regions.

Active coaching of the local team to achieve their improvement plan.

Guides site operations management team in identifying improvement opportunities through benchmarking and shop floor process evaluations.

  • Works together with local BPE and site management to help develop LEAN culture and continuous improvement ability in selected operations..
  • Managing expectations of leaders and manages expectations of managers, staff and operations, facilitates communication on customer needs and business requirements, and establishes performance metrics.
  • Resolving escalated, technical or sensitive solutions design and operational problems or conflicts; works with internal groups or external agencies as needed and oversees the successful resolution.      
  • Working to facilitate meetings and develops communications to provide feedback to teams on project, programs and business priorities and experiences for integration into operations; typically more complex or sensitive in nature.
  • Developing and managing engineering or cross-functional project or program objectives, which includes proposed budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements, receives direction and presents information to management; may develop and manage areas that are moderate in scope or impact.
  • Ensuring processes and operations complies with applicable laws, rules and regulations; provides interpretation within area not requiring formal legal opinions and applies across operations; develops or recommends formal policies and procedures as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • College, professional or university degree in engineering or related functional area or equivalent education and experience is often accepted.
  • Typically at least five years of experience, including experience as a lead or supervisor, more senior roles require at least eight years of experience, including at least two years of expert or managerial experience.
  • Applying comprehensive engineering management principles and practices.
  • Applying more standard project management methodologies with a focus on implementing plans to achieve goals. 
  • Understanding of the development and implementation of engineering programs, policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of strategic initiatives in a similar global environment.
  • Strong understanding in the interpretation and applicable of related laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Understanding of organization group process, influencing, problem identification and resolution at both a strategic and functional levels.
  • Understanding of best practices in the function and industry.
  • Supervising and providing direction to staff.
  • Basic business administration and financial management principles.
  • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
